This is my first experience with the Real Game California! I have joined my colleague Alejandra, who has experience with the Real Game, in teaching a class of 8-10 Seniors at a Learning Center in Rancho Cordova. We had our first Pre Seeion last Thursday and it went well. Each of the students in this class had access to their own laptop for this session. It was great for the kids to be able to do the pre session online and take the World of Work Survey. They seemed more interested and focused, having their own laptop in front of them. Today was our second session with this same group, our Session 1. During this session we only had one laptop available and we hooked it up to a flat screen TV so that all the youth could see it. We played the Spin Game today. It worked out perfectly because we had two teams of 4 and each of them took turns sending one person up to spin on the computer. The kids seemed to be very interested in this. They became competitive and interacted well. Having the Spin Game available online was great! I am looking forward to the next session next week!
